Are honey nut cheerios with milk a good breakfast for a toddler? My mom doesnt think its enough.

This isn’t a horrible breakfast if you’re in a rush or something but not for every day. Incorporate fruit maybe some veggies mixed into eggs and quality carbs not processed.

By itself, no. They need fruit, protein, less sugars, etc. If it's a random meal while you're in a hurry, I get it. But it definitely shouldn't be the go to.

I try and hit 4-5 food groups per meal and 2-3 for snacks. So cereal and milk does hit 3 (grain, dairy, protein), I might tack on 1/2 banana and then I’m at 4 and happy.

It’s for sure not the best.  Pretty high in sugar. But there is a lot worse you could be feeding them.

My 2 yr old will do dry honey nut Cheerios, with some fruit and sometimes yogurt as well. I have definitely given it to her by itself but usually just as a snack. If it's a meal i try and add some other things. I wouldn't consider it a meal by itself. Just chop up a couple strawberries or apple and offer that with it to make it more complete.
