Constant spotting

So I started my period on oct 6th and bled for a couple days but have been spotting ever since. I’m starting to get worried now. I also get random sharp pains in my abdomen that cause me to have to pause for a couple minutes. This is super odd for me. I am on the pill and take it at the same time every day. I have been on the pill for about eight months now. Any similar experiences or advice? I’m going to the doc tomorrow but I am scared they will look at me like I’m crazy.
