I’ve given birth two times with no medication. 
First one, for some reason, was easy. So easy. The labor was uncomfortable but I sort of meditated trough it. I just wanted everyone quiet so I could focus. My labor was about 6 hours. I pushed for 30. Birthing was not painful at all. Recovery I was quite sore. Sitting and getting and using the bathroom was uncomfortable. 
With my second it was a 6 hour labor as well. It hurt way more. Maybe I wasn’t as focused. I don’t know. If ANYONE would have asked if I wanted something for the pain I would have said yes. I said “f*ck” a lot. But I managed. I only pushed 3 times. Birthing was not painful. And recovery was like insanely easy. I got home and started cleaning like nothing had happened. I hardly felt any different physically.

It was horrible for me, I was in labor for 72 hours no meds or epi. He got stuck in my birthing canal, they had to cut me from my V-A I had so many stitches it took 5 months for me to fully heal, I pushed for 2.5 hours I felt everything.
The pain is how well you can handle it, I see all these women on here saying it didn’t hurt as much as they thought but what I see if their pain tolerance is higher than they thought. Me on the other hand have a very low pain tolerance and it was extremely painful and traumatic.

It’s different for everyone and even for each pregnancy.  I’ve had 3 natural births and all felt very different.  I will say, I had an abundance of energy each time and so being able to be up and moving immediately after birth, and showering off labor sweat and blood, was really amazing for me 😂

It honestly didn’t hurt as bad as I thought it was going to the hospital made a mistake of only checking me once so I thought I was only dilated to a 6 so I asked for the epidural and it failed twice and about halfway through I felt like I needed to push so they checked me and I was crowning! I had made it all the and didn’t even know it so I gave 3 really good pushes and my baby was out and didn’t have to get any stitches or anything

Iv got 3 girls and on all my girls I never used no pain relief my first 2 I had a water birth which I found really nice as the water was warm and really helped my back pain don’t get me wrong it hurt but the last push feel so nice as u know it’s all over and done with and u get to hold ur baby for the first time my 3rd I just had a normal bed birth which I thought was just the same as a water birth just baby don’t come out as clean as water birth
