Have you ever taken a break in a realtionship then ended up back together?

Has anyone ever taken a break in their relationship, lived their own lives and developed themselves for a little and ended up starting off with a clean slate and getting back together? If so what’s your story?

Yes my husband and I did years before we got married it was a good decision to break up at that time I feel only helped our relationship.

Me and my husband did, we were young, had a kid, and we just didn't see eye to eye at that time. We separated for quite awhile, both even got engaged to other people and those didn't work out. We always remained friends. After that we started hanging out again and here we are now married 7 years, been together 3 before that!

I met my first ever boyfriend ( first kiss and all) the summer before I turned 18. We both worked at my communities pool and I was his boss. We only really admitted our interest in each other because of an autocorrect incident but that’s another story. We dated for about a year before we both talked it over and decided we just didn’t have time to actually spend with each other. I was taking night classes to try and finish high school while being a full time care giver to my grandfather and he was working two jobs trying to get away from his parents rules.  We ended our relationship and went back to being friends. We still hardly ever talked though. Seven months later I got a text asking me out for coffee ( which I don’t drink but I said yes to). We got married on April 14 of 2018! The break gave us time to figure out our lives a little and I’m glad it happened.

We broke up after just a few months of dating, so it wasn’t super serious, and he was in the military getting ready for deployment. We talked on occasion, even after he got back, then started talking more once he moved back to the same state, 2 yrs after breaking up we got back together, a year and half later got engaged, married the next year, now expecting baby #3.

No. In my opinion, if a relationship REQUIRES or NEEDS a break, then it is inevitably going to end. I don’t see the point in having a relationship with someone if either party wants a break. It’s pointless to me and makes no sense. Now I get having space and such, that’s fine, but having a “break” just means that someone isn’t ready to be in the relationship or is already done with it.

I picked depends because it's never worken out for me but it has for others. 
And I never understood breaks, if you're committed why go on a break? Or if things are tough why not brave the storm together?
