Guns?

Hi mamas. Here recently where I live we have a had a lot of scary things happening. There was a shooting just down the street from our house and my husband is getting super worried and wants to be able to protect the family. I’ve shot plenty of guns because of the military but he doesn’t have as much experience. I’ve tried to do a little reading but would it be a completely terrible idea for me to go to the range with him? He just wants to make sure we would both be able to protect ourselves in a worst case scenario. But I’m 15 weeks pregnant and I just need advice on this one...
