Preventing spit up?

I’ve tried almost everything but how do you prevent spit up? She’s 2 weeks old tomorrow and it scares me so much because a shit ton comes out. I’ve noticed with my breast milk she spits up less but when I need to supplement with formula she spits up a LOT. I have to supplement sometimes due to not producing enough.

Why are you supplementing? Slow weight gain? Poor diaper output? Are you supplementing after a nursing session or between?

try different formula, make sure the nipple flow to bottle isnt too large, make sure to burp every few ounces

What kind of formula do you use when you supplement? Could be you need to switch to a more sensitive formula for your baby tummy. I would talk with your pediatrician and they could give you a sample of formula for a different kind for sensitive tummy’s and see if that works. I had to switch my sons formula three times before we found the best one for him when he was a newborn.
