Thanks to all the kind folks who commented below ensuring me that damage wouldn’t be my fault. It really helped calm my nerves and inspired me to do more research about hematomas.

I went for the ultrasound today and it was good news. I have a hemorrhage that is not related to the pregnancy and was deemed no threatening. I’ll likely be spotting for a while but the doctor says that as long as o don’t see being red heavy bleeding again like I did last Friday I should be good.

I got to see the baby which was measuring on schedule and I got to see and hear the heartbeat 😭😂😍🙌🏾

I BLED really heavily on Friday morning after resting a warm plate on my stomach. Like I bled through my pjs and needed a pad and then saw a blood clot in my undies within an hour of the heavy bleeding. I haven’t announced yet so just my husband and I know which is why I’m sharing here...

Since the heavy bleeding on Friday I’ve been spotting brown blood so I called the drs office to get some information about what’s going on. They brought me in for a blood test and checked my HCG levels and said they were normal (5800?) and then asked if it was a single pregnancy (idk I’m only 6 weeks in???). I go in for an ultrasound tomorrow and don’t know what to expect. This is my first pregnancy ever and I’m terrified.

I’m so worried I hurt my baby and that I’m miscarrying. 😔

What questions should I ask? How do I prepare myself for the news? 😩
