Normal after Membrane Sweep?

Question

39 weeks got a sweep today. As soon has I got up bright red blood rush down my legs as soon has I got up to get dressed. I called the MA and showed her. She didn’t call the doctor and said it was normal. Id say it’s been two hours and filled up one pad. Is this normal?

I had membrane sweep twice and didn't bleed.

When I had bleeding after a cervix check at 38 weeks they said if it continued for more than an hour or required me to change a pad then to go in or call the doctor. Thankfully it stopped so I didn’t have to but urs sounds like a bit much

That doesn't sound right just from intuition i haven't had a sweep. When in doubt go somewhere and demand to be checked out. Trust your gut mama

Spotting is normal. Actual bleeding and filling a pad is not. I would call.
