Lip tie discovery at 9 months help!

I don’t know how we didn’t catch this sooner!! The signs were there, wouldn’t latch to bottles or take pacis, slow weight gain... she did however breastfeed fine but was a constant cluster feeder. Now that her teeth are coming in, we noticed a large gap and weird skin, so of course I googled it and it’s a lip tie. I took her to her pediatrician and it’s a class 4 case which is the most severe... Idk how none of us caught thing before now. She mentioned taking her to get it removed with a laser.... does anyone have experience with this?! Can I be there when they do this or will they just take her into a room without me. How’s the aftercare ?! I have a call into a child’s dentist to get a lot of these questions answered but I’m dying for some insight into this from anyone who has had a little one go through this... help please! Thank you!!
