How do i stop my toddler from breast feeding ???

Question

My son has breast-fed exclusively since birth. When I say exclusively I mean he has never taken breastmilk out of a bottle. Ever. I’ve tried to give it to him but he simply won’t take it. He breast-feeds every time he takes a nap (one nap a day) and to go to sleep at night and sometimes in between. He does enjoy milk however he just drinks it as a drink and not something to soothe him.. he’s 19 months and I want to get him off by his second birthday someone please help. 😫

This is how it's been with my son too! I started wearing tshirts, out of sight out of mind. If he wants to be comforted I hold him and read a book. Or keep him distracted by interaction like chasing him around the house. Just making him feel he has my 100% attention so he doesnt go for the boobs. It's hard mama, stay strong. Ik those crys can tug at you but be firm. You've got this!

Saaaame experience here! My 1 y/o was in the same position. What I stared noticing was that he wanted to breastfeed when he was thirsty true the day. What I did was , I stared by giving him more water in daytime. Then in a couple of weeks I stared to gradually increase the session of breastfeeding to only before going to bed at night. When it was time to take a nap, I turn all lights off in the room, play some lullabies and cuddle him to help him fall asleep. Before bed at night a stared giving him (still do) oatmeal and water for drink, by doing that I replaced breast feeding him. 
It’s not going to be easy at first, I can promised you that but it won’t be impossible. Eventually he will not feel the necessity to breastfeed. You’ll get frustrated sometimes, but you got this...just take deep breaths. Your breast will hurt and get very uncomfortable so you can gently massage while showering and express some milk with your hands too. It took me like 2 or 3 weeks to my breast start to stop producing milk (but keep in mind that everybody is different). 
And that was how I did it. Excuse if there something written wrong my first language is spanish 😂 But you got this mamma, I know.

I’d do a little at a time. Probably starting with whatever is least regular. So maybe just stick to nap & bed for a while. I’d just say if he asks, “sure you can have more momma milk (or whatever you call it) when it’s bedtime”  id also start trying to not let him fall asleep at the breast (easier said than done 😬) but if you can get him off before he falls asleep (we always nurse, then sing) then it will be a LOT easier later when you cut it out.
