Negative test result but still no period

So for the first time a about two months my period is late... I took a took a test about 5 days ago in the afternoon and it was negative. But I’m still late and I don’t feel any regular period symptoms. And according to my chart I was sex pretty much everyday before, after and during my ovulation days lol. So I’m curious if I should take another test. If I should go to the doctors, did the time of day that I took it mattered?? Please help with my curiosity...
