Kitties coming home soon!

So I adopted a cat and am picking her up on Saturday! Her name is Annelle (we are shortening it to Ann though) and she is a little under 3. I plan on keeping her in one room if the house until she gets more comfortable with us/ isn’t scared, and then I’ll allow her to roam freely. Does anyone have any wisdom to tell me about with bringing a new cat home? I’ve never been a cat owner so I’m not sure what to expect! Thanks!
