2 week wait again!

Had my 37 week appt today. We set it for Nov 6th. I’m so ready. It’s been a long road! I found out by a fluke when I was days pregnant. Ended up with hyperemesis which continued this entire pregnancy. Had a kayaking accident at 17 weeks were I ended up with a small placental abruption and was on bedrest for 5 weeks because I had contractions and cervical changes. At 30 weeks we had a scare with GD and to much amniotic fluid. Developed severe carpal tunnel at 33 wks that required steroid injections because I lost all feeling and strength in my hands. At 35 weeks I went into preterm labor due to severe dehydration spent 3 night in the hospital on fluids where I stop and started labor 5 times. Some how we made it to 37 weeks. I’m 2 almost 3 cm dialated, 90% effaced and baby is sitting at -1.

I’m beyond grateful for Baby Cole. I was getting ready for infertility treatment when we discovered we’d been blessed. I was told I’d never get pregnant or sustain a pregnancy without fertility treatments. My first beta was 12 off of pre-op blood work because the office urine machine was down so ran blood instead sending me to another lab for a pee test. Luckily and very shocking for us and my doctor when it was positive. We started progesterone support that day.

I’m just so ready for him to be here. The next 2 weeks are going to be so long and yet I’ll still be waiting for labor to start on it’s own. Everyone is staring at me like I’m a bomb ready to go off!
