Daddys girl
I have a wonder 18 month old baby girl and ever since she was born people say she is a daddy's girl. Ive had people actually say to me she really perfers dad to you. My 5 year old nephew said to me "she doesnt love you as much, she only loves daddy".
And of course when he is around he is constantly holding her and taking care of her because im a pregnant stay at home mom so when he is around he is super help (which i love, i dont fault him for any of this). For months she only said dada.
Now she is saying mama all the time. She only gives me kisses- not him. Last night he was holding her to put her to bed and she reached for me and said mama because im ALWAYS the one to lay her down. I know she loves me. She is always hugging me and sitting on my lap but she loves her dada too. She doesnt see as much of him so when he comes home it is all about dada.
Everytime i see my mom, my grandma, his mom, his sisters they all go aw she is such a daddys girl, she loves her daddy most, she only wants daddy.
Its been 18 months of this crap. Im having another girl and if one person says the phrase daddys girl around her im probably going to scream.
My husband actually gets annoyed too because he knows it bothers me.
Why do we have to say our babies love one parent more? They love both parents.
Anyone else deal with this???
