Proper etiquette when using a maid or cleaning service??

Question

Okay I'm a new mom and all I want for my birthday is someone to come clean my house. I have never had anyone clean my home before. Do Ieave while they are there? Do I leave a tip? If so how much? Do I clean up a bit before they come??

2. only if it's a one-time or infrequent thing

This is a great bday present. Highly recommend not being home while they are cleaning, you will just feel awkward. 
If they are with a company that provides a receipt I would tip, if they are independent or only operate in cash I wouldn’t as it’s all money in their pocket. The standard 15% ish would be appropriate as with any service. 
I do tidy up surfaces and pick things up off the floor so they are spending their time actually cleaning floors, windows, bathrooms, maybe your appliances?? If there’s too much clutter to pick up you’re not getting your money’s worth!
