Overwhelmed with prenatal care

STM hoping this time around doctors appointments weren’t going to be stressful. I don’t have insurance and trying to pay for doctor visits during my first pregnancy was stressful. So we had to settle on a clinic not as close as we hoped and a hospital that was an 1hr away. Not to mention I never met with a doctor or had a slight chance of knowing who would deliver my baby nor had a birth plan. Going into labor not knowing anything. Thinking my hospital bills were covered by emergency Medicaid only to find out it barely covered anything and having no way of paying them.

This time around I thought I qualified for Medicaid only to receive a phone call letting me know I won’t be covered after 11/30 but I’m due in March....

Meaning I would have to switch doctors and settle for that clinic at 23 weeks into my pregnancy. I just wish prenatal care wasn’t so expensive or was easier to obtain .

Just needed to vent I’m so grateful I could get some type of prenatal care and so thankful we found that clinic it’s better than nothing.
