NIPT- not enough chromosome?

My doctor just called to say my NIPT test was inconclusive because there weren’t enough chromosomes in the blood and now I have to retest.... has anyone ever experienced this?? I can’t help but freak out but I’m hoping to get my nerves a bit calm from someone who’s experienced this! Help!!!

My first NIPT came back Inconclusive , I redid the bloodwork and week later it came back normal.
Don't panic, there are many reasons this happens and one being not enough of the babies dna in your blood at the time of the blood drawl

It can happen, it just means the sample wasn't exactly what they needed. Don't worry mama!

Probably just a little too early, just means the amount of fetal dna in the blood sample was too small. I had mine done at 10w3d and the fetal fraction was 4.2%...idk how much it needs to be to be conclusive but don’t freak out! Just means you’ll have to wait a little longer to find out and have 1 more blood draw ☺️
