Traveling advice ....
So we are traveling to Philippines in Feb 2020 for two weeks. My LO will be 11 months old. I am wondering/ need advice on what to do... should I keep breastfeeding/pumping during the travels? Or should I slowly stop and do a couple weeks of formula? Or would I be able to start my LO on whole milk by then?
A little background... I exclusively breastfed my LO until I went back to work full time. Now my LO has breastmilk in a bottle about 80% of the time and is eating solids 3-4x a day.
I breastfeed at bedtime sometimes (LO is just too distracted to stay on the breast)
I pump every 3 -5 hrs but I can tell my breast milk is depleting (slowly). I have plenty of breastmilk stored in our deep freezer so I know it will last till February or so.
BUT because of the travel time (15hr flight), the lack of secure electricity (freezer), and storage issues in Philippines, I can’t take two weeks worth of breastmilk with me. It will go bad.
I don’t know what to do!
