Can you be stuck at 8cm for 2 months?

Is this even possible? Someone told me this happened to to them.... I am not a doctor but that doesn't make a lot of sense to me

At 8 cm you should already be with your healthcare professional, in the hospital or place of choice, to have the baby. There is no way they'd let that go for 2 months.

Once youre past 5cm you're in active labour. The longest any decent medical professional will let you be in active labour for is 48 hours (though most hospitals have a 24 hour policy).
