Possible miscarriage

Today I went in for my transvaginal ultrasound my last period was August 30th I am supposed to be 8 w 4 d.The doctor measure the baby she determine it was 6 weeks 2 days no heart beat therefore she said I might miscarriage or that the baby just stop growing. At this point I am devastated I am scared I’m sad & have no clue on what to expect . I am scheduled for a follow up appointment next week. Has this happened to any women out there with similar cases what do I do from here?
