Baby showing separation anxiety early?

My baby boy Finlay is extremely attached to me. If I leave the room when he’s sleeping, he will cry until I come back in to give him kisses. But if my husband goes in, he just continues to cry. Whenever I leave him with someone else, he screams, but the second I come back he is all smiles and giggles. Is this normal? He’s only 14 weeks old. I thought this type of stuff didn’t happen until 6 months!

Mine had a phase like this starting at 2 months! She cried whenever anyone else held her besides me or her dad- she would burst into tears within seconds and stop crying as soon as we took her back. It lasted a few weeks and improved on its own.
But she would only cry for a few minutes and then calm down once we were out of sight.

Mines the same and it's been going on now for a few weeks. Are you breastfeeding? I am and I stopped and switched to pumping and bottle feeding and it significantly helped. Not saying you should or would want to do that but taking away me being her sole source of comfort and being a pacifier it helped others be able to calm her and her being ok with others.
