HELP! Pregnant & working with Radiation

I need advice from the Healthcare workers out there!!

So recently I found out I am pregnant. 5 weeks to be exact. I’ve had a few miscarriages so I don’t want to tell people for awhile. I am an Cardiac Ultrasound tech at a hospital and I go into the Cathlab a few times each week. I do have lead that I wear when radiation will be used in the lab. Yes on occasion I do go in the cathlab without lead but obviously no radiation is being used at that time.

Do you think I should tell my boss I’m pregnant right now? Do I need any extra protection in the lab?

I’m not sure what to do. I don’t want to cause any harm but I also don’t want people finding out encase I miscarry again. Nothing’s worse than having people ask about your pregnancy but your not pregnant anymore.
