Negative test, could I still be pregnant?

So I had my son exactly 7 months ago and I’m a week late for my period. We haven’t exactly been careful, we’ve been using the pull out method and also we haven’t really had much time to do the deed so it’s been very sporadic lol. But I took a test when I was 2 days late and it was negative and then took another at 4 days late and it was negathve as well. We are not “hoping” to be pregnant but if I was to be it’d be okay. I’m just curious as to if this has happened to anyone and they actually turned out pregnant? Ive just really felt off but it could be all in my head since I missed my period😅
