Rent payment

I have a question so I live in some apartments and just recently they started a new online portal where we can pay online . It has the option to pay a one time payment or auto pay . My question is are they able to take more money out of my acct the day I move out ??

The reason, I ask is because after I moved in these apartments I read the reviews bad mistake. I have read these apartment have charge renters outrageous amount of money over little things and I have kept their deposit plus more . Like I said the portal is new so they didn’t have online payment . The other renters comments on yelp say good luck I’m not paying that amount is ridiculous . So , if I do give payment online do they have access to take more out ?
