When you watch for set hours, you don’t usually charge or be paid by the hour. It’s usually a set amount. That is a little low but that’s a similar price to what I’ve been paid before for a similar situation.

I mean that is crazy. But if it’s all that she can afford there is no reason to judge that. I watch kids while staying home with my youngest. I have a set charge for individuals or kids but there is a family that I don’t charge full price for because I knew that mom wasn’t making much.

Yes that’s ridiculous.. but not as ridiculous as our “friends” trying to pay me $25 a week to watch their kids from 3pm-11pm.. A 3 month old, a 2 year old and a 8 year old.. Also asked us to take them to and from work everyday (they worked on the complete opposite side of town) for an additional $10. 😐 $35 a week to babysit for about 40 hours and to haul them to and from.. Realized what kind of friends they were when they cut us off because we told them no, not only did we not have the time to do all that but that also was nowhere near enough money.. We would’ve spent more than that in gas hauling them to and from work..

I watched one child for 8-9hrs a day for $20/day. That’s the same rate the mama would have been paying for daycare in our area except there were no availabilities. She provided his food and diapers. Occasionally I would watch both her children and then it was $40/day ($20 per child), so I really don’t think this is unreasonable. In most cases child care is not paid by the hour like a regular job would be.

I guess it depends on where u live but I wouldn’t ever pay someone that little to care for the most precious person in my whole life. I would be worried that You would get sub par care for your babies.

I only pay $95 for my daughter for a week of daycare and they provide the food. I don’t think it’s totally crazy depending on the cost of living in the area.

That's so insulting. $30 a day is daycare prices if you want a nanny its gonna cost a lot more
