Should I have the test?

I’ve just had my booking appointment with the Midwife and she discussed Amniocentesis tests. Has anyone had it done? I’m nervous for the procedure (1 in 100 end in miscarriage) and the results. I’ve already had a miscarriage I can’t lose my Rainbow baby. I’ll be 35 years old when the baby’s due.

I'd ask for the NIPT test or the combined screening first to see your risk  before going straight down the route of amnio

Depends on my they want to do it. Are u high risk for something and that's why they want to do it? If they just say its routine then I would decline it and ask about other options first.

Did she say why you need it done? Any risk of miscarriage is too high for me and I wouldn’t do it ask about noninvasive testing

Why are they recommending an amniocentesis? Is it just because of your age or is there other risk factors involved? 
I think that would have a lot to do with my decision.
