Black mothers: hairstyle for labor?

What hairstyle do you plan to have for labor/delivery and the first weeks of postpartum? Or what have you done in the past?

I’m due at the end of December and want to put in box braids but I’m afraid it’ll be too uncomfortable of a hairstyle during labor (it can be so bulky at times!!). With my first child I went into labor with natural two strand twists that were at most 2 days old. Looking back at pictures it was such a messy ugly hair-do and I looked a general mess (the twists were already fluffy and I had a halo of 4c hair everywhere) 😓😓😓, I wish I had gotten something that would’ve faired better. I know this question sounds so shallow but it would be nice to look back at pictures and not think about how messy my hair was.
