Have you or anyone you know conceived while on the pill AND using condoms? (Both taken correctly)

I’ve seen 1 or 2 women on here who claim that have gotten pregnant while on the pill (taken perfectly without antibiotics), using condoms, and pulling out! How is that even possible? It makes me very anxious because I’m 17 and sexually active and I use all of these forms of birth control. Should I be worried? It’s happened to these couple of women before so I guess it could happen to me! This makes me want to stop having sex completely lmao my anxiety is THROUGH THE ROOF!

Something like that happening is EXTREMELY rare!!! It’s also possible that their methods were compromised & they didn’t realize it. The pills themselves are 99.7% effective when taken perfectly with no negative interactions (and about 91%-92% with typical use). Adding condoms on top of perfect use of the pill is 99.9% effective. So, ur VERY well protected. But, if ur still anxious then maybe consider something more effective than the pill, like the arm implant or IUD, which are 99.9% 99.8% effective on their own with both perfect & typical use (as both have very little room for user error). Or, like u said, stop having sex until ur more prepared for any possible consequences.

So the thing is, nothing is 100%. HOWEVER, it is very rare for that to happen, especially if you are taking your pill perfectly. I've seen plenty of posts on here where women that are on birth control don't even use condoms and let their man finish in them, they've never had a pregnancy scare. Just make sure you are doing everything correctly!

I am one of them! I was on pill, and my husband was wearing condom. But somehow I still got pregnant. Now I am using IUD.
