Am i crazy?

I am 38 weeks and i found out that my baby is still in a transverse lie position( sideways) and my doctor offered 2 options.. 1- to manually turn my baby head down or 2- c-section... i immediately opted for c-section. My doctor looked at me like im crazy lol.. but  i am afraid of any fetal damage due to the force of the doctors having to physically move the baby around. Theres risks of the baby flipping back and also a ruptured uterus .

A c section is a major surgery with a lot harder/longer recovery. Personally I'm trying to avoid having another way any way possible

I had an ECV on Tuesday. We got baby to flip. Way less painful and less risks than a c-section according to my OB.

I just had my son turned yesterday from transverse to head down. I’m trying to avoid a C-section. Do whatever you feel is best for you.

I just tried the ECV yesterday and it was unsuccessful. The risks are very minimal in my opinion and they use a lot of precaution. I really wanted to avoid a csection but now it’s been scheduled for 11/20

I would probably go c-section too. If c-section wasn’t a reasonable choice then it wouldn’t be offered as an option. Go with whatever you feel comfortable doing. Good luck.

My baby is the same and I immediately said c section too lol you’re not crazy. Turning baby is so not worth it to me personally.
