Formula?!?!

My baby is 8 weeks old and EBF but she’s been getting extremely bad gas and horrible tummy aches regardless of me burping her and making sure she has an air tight latch. I just want her to feel better because it seems like she’s in excruciating pain every day and it breaks my heart. Have any moms been through this and tried formula and it worked? Or if you’ve been through this what worked for you? I miss my happy baby...

Formula would make it worse crying peeks at 2 months old. She is growing. My baby is going through this as well right now. Her body will adjust. Try pushing her legs up and down it's an ideal fart position also some tummy time. Things will get better.

Try cutting out dairy or dairy and soy. Works wonders. There are lots of Facebook groups to help

If it’s gas pain switching to formula will honestly probably and it worse. Even the formula for colicky babies is harder to digest than breastmilk. You could try a chiropractor who is trained in Pediatrics, I know quite a few people who’ve had great success with it. Is she spitting up a lot tho? Wet burps? Arching her back? If so it could Ipossibly GERD? (Acid reflux) If it’s that you can try medication and/or thickened formula.

Going through this currently. Babies have a very premature digestive system so most of them deal with gas pains etc. so it really won’t do much unless they have an actual allergy to milk. You can try it if you want but you most likely will just have to wait until their system matures around 3ish months unfortunately. I know it’s hard hang in there mama it’ll pass soon enough!

Honestly I’ve tried 4 different formulas and the only one my baby seems so like is enfamil sensitive! We also do the rice cereal in it because he has acid reflux followed by gas drops 😊 we had a screaming baby for 2 weeks straight and now we have a happy baby 😊

Gas drops! We just talked to our doctor about our babes gassiness. He is also 2 months. His body is handling it better but for those really painful moments we use gas drops and he calms down immediately and relaxes enough to relive his gas in some way. Little Remedies is the brand we use.

They are learning to use their digestive systems so totally normal, they are not in pain, the grunting, crying, etc is to put pressure on their abdomen.

My baby was like this when she was 2-3 weeks. Ped gave her mylicon (OTC) and I stopped consuming dairy products (cheese, milk, yogurt & butter). Worked wonders. She’s a happy 9 week old and I’ve been able to reduce the mylicon to only twice a day. 
Ped today told me to try reintroducing milk into my diet as I’m losing too much weight. We’ll try this weekend with a coffee 🙏
