Growth ultrasound ?

I see a lot of you mommies had a growth ultrasound around 32-34 weeks but my last ultrasound was at 28 weeks should I be receiving one or I am done for this pregnancy? My daughter was measuring two weeks behind then I just want to make sure she’s growing okay but don’t know if I need to pay for an elective one

Like many others, the only reason I have so many is because I have GD and have a high risk pregnancy. I have another scan coming up at 36w to check his growth and hopefully that’s it. Usually, doctors will only do additional ultrasounds if there are concerns or issues.

I haven’t had an US since 19w for anatomy Old Ob wasn’t going to order one. New OB because I have GD is pissed I haven’t been having one every 4wks since diagnosis. So we will go for one last us at 35x5. 🤞 little man isn’t too big!

I had a growth ultrasound at 32 weeks.   I have another at 36 weeks.  (Wednesday). Only because I have gestational Diabetes.  I have friends who are pregnant without GD and they had one ultrasounda at 20 weeks.

They’re not necessary and honestly I find it super odd that they’re so common because they’re only ~50% accurate 😂 you definitely don’t need one, if you notice a significant drop in movement definitely mention it to your provider but otherwise you don’t NEED any more ultrasounds!

I get them bc I’m high risk. You can always ask your doctor. I get one more at 36wks to check his weight then that’s it.

I’m going to be getting one, but because I’m measuring 3 weeks ahead. It’s really only if your doctor is concerned. My pregnancy is considered “high risk” since I had a “spontaneous labor” with my first at 36 weeks. I also have gestational diabetes.

Every doctor is different but I had one at 30weeks and my next is at 36 weeks.

You shouldn’t need one! It’s normal to measure two weeks either way. My midwife ordered me one because of high bp, but for a normal healthy pregnancy you shouldn’t need one.
