Hiring someone to clean?

Question

Can anyone please give me an idea of what happens when you hire someone to clean your house? I know generally they just “clean” and don’t “organize,” so I’m thinking I might get my clutter squared away and hire someone to come clean before my new baby comes, but I have no clue how it works or what to expect! Suggestions and tips for how to find a good cleaner are appreciated too, I’m totally lost! Thanks

i used to clean houses !!! okay so from my point, i would clean bathrooms, bedrooms, living, room kitchen . also dusting , surface cleaning , vacuuming . making beds tidying rooms cleaning window
sills and mopping . washing dishes and sometimes they will ask to do their laundry. it all depends what you want done . you usually pay by the hour.

First you want to move away all the clutter. And then they come around and do whatever you want. Clean bathrooms, kitchens, dust, vacuum, etc. or deep cleaning projects like the inside of the oven, exterior windows, etc. 
So maybe try to get an idea of exactly what you want done. Or you can talk to them and ask them for tips and suggestions too.

I worked for a cleaning company and then ended up having to quit because we moved a few hours away, but i loved it. If it was a new customer the manager would go to the clients house to see exactly what areas/rooms they wanted done eachtime. The very first visit was always a deep clean so this usually was a group of 3 to 6 employees that would clean from top to bottom of each room you wanted clean. Then its up to you how often you want them to come and clean. Some clients would be weekly and some would be every other week or once a month. After the first deep clean then we would clean the major stuff like for a bathroom: empty garage,  clean mirrors, bathtub,  toilet and vacuum floor then clean floor by hand.  Then once a month we would do top to bottom again which was starting with any light fixture, dust, clean every single piece of furniture in the room down to the floor.  This is just an example of what we did, we also always worked in groups of three at each house.  That way it would only take an hour to get everything the customer wanted clean. Its always good to have either audio or cameras set up because you honestly never know if someone will take anything.  It sucks to say that but even if someone has an amazing outcome on their background check you just never truly know if they would ever take something.

I start with laundry, gather trash, make beds, put dishes away, then dust, wipe down furniture, clean bathrooms, clean kitchen, sweep/vacuum, mop and laundry is finished by the end of cleaning. Depending on the size of the house 2-3.5 hours.

We have a cleaner once a week and it’s the best money we spend. She cleans the whole house. If there is clutter/paperwork/toy she neatly leaves them in a pile. I used to clean before she came but now I try my best to keep in tidy.

I clean house for people and I would say a basic wipe down and dust of everything. You should probably clarify that you want your blinds and baseboards wiped as well, some think that’s more of a deep clean but I like to do it every time I clean for someone.
I would normally clean everything I could touch except for inside cabinets and I normally wouldn’t touch dishes/dishwasher or make any beds unless asked.
