If so how long until your kid slept normally again? Like without needing to be rocked

My daughter would be lost with out hers. We have had to buy four of these specific ones because others had ripped or was too dirty. I don’t know what we will do when it’s time to get rid of it. Our dr said to get it gone by two. She is obsessed with the lion lol

Yes, all I did was went cold turkey 🦃 I stopped giving it to him and that was that. You can normally break a habit within 10 days. Mine started sucking his thumb after he does when he is tired or trying to get to sleep x

My sons 16 months and we just took away the pacifier for during the day 2 weeks ago. I still let him have it at nighttime and when we travel in the car. In the morning we throw it into the crib and he goes to school 8-4. He doesn’t have any at school now and he takes a nap no problem. His teachers say you would never know he was a binky kid now and I would say he was pretty attached when we decided to start limiting it. He’s also been talking more without it.

Our pediatrician had us take it away during the day, but said he could have it at night until 2. 
We just recently had a lot of big transitions, so we’re going to wait. 
We keep it in his top dresser drawer, he wakes up, puts it in there himself, and doesn’t worry about it until nap time.

We stopped it right at a year as we noticed our son was a just ready.   So it honestly wasnt hard for us.   It took maybe 2 or 3 nights.      He had started just playing with it before going to sleep and not sucking on it so we went ahead and took it away then
