I met a guy a year ago, he lives in Colombia and I'm from Germany, he's older than me and we starting talking normally with the time I started developing feelings and then started dating in the beginning of this year.

We had some arguments with the pass of the months and some of their comments really hurted me, I think I was so in love that I couldn't see some of his drawbacks. A months ago I told him that I wanted to take a time to clear my feelings, I still loving him but I broke up with him after 2 weeks I told him that I wanted to have a break. Was it correct?
