Bloody show or mucus plug?

Which comes first? I've been having consistent contractions for a couple hours and now I'm having dark/old bloody stringy mucus. I have been looking for my mucus plug for 2 weeks and haven't seen anything.

There’s no set order and some people never notice them. Loss of the plug doesn’t mean much but a show usually happens during labour but the time it happens can vary x

I had my mucus plug come out little by little then a few days before my water broke I had blood in alittle bit of my mucus plug come out.

My mucus plug, I never saw my bloody show so it must of been after I was already admitted into L&D
