Worried

I may be overreacting but who knows. I woke up Sunday morning and went to the bathroom and noticed I had been bleeding but my period isn’t due for another week or two. Thinking maybe it started early I decided to put a tampon in since the flow was pretty steady. Hours later took the tampon out and it had a good amount of blood but it didn’t smell like a period if you get what I’m saying. It was the smell of just blood. Left the tampon out and just had a panty liner. The flow begin to slow down as it went from a red color to brown and by that night it had stopped. Monday there was no blood at all just regular discharge. Today I woke up and yet again went to the bathroom and it was blood again. Same thing as Sunday. I am on birth control and have been for over a year now but this is not normal for me at all.
