Did y’all who have 4th degree tear have another with second baby?

I was cut all the way from vagina to butt hole. I felt that pain (epidural didn’t work), and that was traumatizing. I heard the sound the skin made when it was cut and felt that searing pain through my whole body. 
I’ve heard it’s easier second time around. Was it?

That literally never should have happened to you and I recommend you find a different hospital. ( I know it’s not always that easy).

I had third degree tear with my first. Thankfully my epidural worked, I can’t imagine what you went through. My second baby was so much easier. She slid right out. I might have had slight tearing, but NOTHING like my first.

I have the same question. Except I tore naturally. My Ob says a c section is an option under the circumstances, but that doesn’t sound great either.

I will say, I had a 9 lb 10 oz baby and my epidural was going strong and I had fentanyl as well because my pelvis was separating. I couldn’t feel my vagina at all, so the ring of Fire didn’t hurt and I couldn’t even figure out how to push when I couldn’t feel. So my 99.9 percentile in everything son came out with no tear. And I’m 5’5 and 118 when I’m not pregnant, so I’m a small person. My husband is 6’5 hence the gigantic baby haha. But, my point is if the baby doesn’t come flying out and your skin has time to stretch, you should be fine. I know my nurses said they rarely have people tear, because they don’t let the head come flying out. I didn’t believe them but I did after when I saw my huge baby and they said I still had a separate butt and vagina 😂

Don’t use the same doctor! Unless there’s an absolute emergency with a stuck baby they should let you tear since it heals better. My friend had a justified episiotomy with her first child who got stuck. She did not tear as badly as her episiotomy with her next baby who was a son who did not get stuck :) her daughter was a 10 pounder with a stuck shoulder, so the episiotomy was necessary. She tore a bit with her son but not anything crazy. 
She told me the skin cutting sound was disgusting as well. And her epidural had faded. Her next birth was not so traumatic.

My first I tore naturally and needed 36 stitches including in my cervix. It was awful. 
My second and third babies came out perfectly with no tears . 
Also to add: my first i had an epidural and pushed too hard too fast. My second and third I did med free and could feel everything so it helped me go slow and not tear.

I’m having a home water birth apparently the risk of that happening in water birth is significantly lower
