Progesterone pills and ovulation question

I started first round of letrozole this cycle. I didn't ovulated untill CD 19.. Ovulation was confirmed by bbt chart. But i started progesterone from CD14.I read that progesterone pills will stop ovulation is that true? And some where i also read that progesterone pills will help in ovulation. Its so confusing.. Anyone have idea regarding this matter??

I started Progesterone before my ovulation. Did i misready my bbt I took this under my doctor's prescription.I asked her about this matter and she said No those pills will not affect your ovulation but still i want to make sure.
