Ive only had c sections, which have been 4 and will have 5th in feb for twins and i personally have no problem with c sections and heal fast and easy.

I’ve only had a C-section, but all I can say is that the recovery was pretty hard. It’s a major surgery. Everything I did hurt lol. But I’m not saying it’s easier at all because vaginal delivery you can rip all the way open and I know that’s got to be awful too! They are equally hard

I had an unmediated vaginal delivery with a fast labor (5.5 hours) and ended up with a 3rd degree tear. Recovery was insanely painful. (Couldn’t even lift my legs to step in and out of the shower/into pants, etc). 10 months later they had apparently missed that I did not fully heal internally and I had surgery to remove granulation tissue. 
I am opting to have another vaginal delivery, because C sections are a major surgery that I believe doctors suggest only if the vaginal delivery will put either the long term health of the mother or the health of the baby at risk.

With my vaginal delivery I could have ran a marathon after. Sure things were swollen and a little tender but no pain. 
My csection was awful and I tore my incision 10 days post partum. That in itself was just as traumatic,  if not more, than the delivery.

I’ve had one vaginal and 2 csections. My vaginal was uncomplicated and the pain was mostly gone by 2 weeks pp. my first csection was an emergency and healing took a long time. I wasn’t myself for at least a month. With this last csection healing was much easier. I am now 12 days pp and am feeling wonderful today. Still some random pains and soreness but so much better. I think it just really depends on the person and circumstances.
