Spotting at 6w3d?

Ive had two miscarriages in the past year and currently 6w3d with pregnancy #3.

I had an transvaginal ultrasound today, measuring the right size for dates and got a heartbeat (129).. this is my first pregnancy with a heartbeat... Anywho, now (6hrs later) have mild cramping and spotting/light bleeding.. is this normal?

What are your thoughts on transvaginal ultrasounds? I was hesitant to get one because I didn't want any possible risks of miscarriages given the two I've already had but they assure it's safe... So naturally due to the bleeding I'm nervous now
