CIO how long is too long?

Alright guys talk to me about cry it out. What’s the longest your baby has ever gone? Mine just screamed for over an hour. Not crying. Screaming. I caved. How long is too long?

If they’re screaming I go in right away. Whining/fussing I’ve done an hour. Still went in as it didn’t stop.

When we did sleep training my daughter never screamed. It was crying and the longest was 20 minutes. I honestly don’t think I could handle the screaming. Hang in there!

So, I prefer the screaming, honestly. Screaming is just pure protest. When they are crying and have like real tears, that was when I struggled. During sleep training, my daughter pretty much just screamed. I knew she was safe, but she was just ticked off. Our daughter screamed for about 40 minutes the first night. It was hard. I know there are babies that do it much longer.
This is going to sound terrible, but I promise it came straight from my pediatrician (and I will gladly give you the link to his instructions). He said to pick a 10 hour time frame we wanted her to sleep, and to let her cry as much as she wanted during that time. Luckily, she didn’t need to, but that is what he instructed us to do. Just make sure baby is clean, fed, and healthy. ❤️
Did you do extinction or a method either check ins? When we took away check ins, the screaming was definitely lessened! 
I am so sorry, I know how tough this is. I swear it is so worth it. I also promise that baby will love you all the same. I think my daughter loves me more now. Haha. Consistency is key though!

Screaming crying maybe 10-15 min tops. I can’t stand him getting So worked up. But he can self soothe, so if it’s on and off fussing between thumb sucking I’ll leave him a while.

I’ve done fussing and whining for over an hour almost two hours not sure how the f they deal but yeah it’s been that long never thought CIO could last that long but it does. And if she’s crying I do go in after 10’mins, usually she cries only if she’s hungry . It’s so hard to tell: but tonight I’m not going in at all unless she is legitimately crying . I can’t take this no sleep anymore ! Good luck!!
