Any mom’s who work from home?

How are you planning on taking care of baby when you return back to work? Entirely yourself since you work from home? Or getting help?

I work from home but we have hired a nanny 9-5 to care for the bubba 5 days a week. Nature of work is such that I’m on conference calls or talking to clients on the phone. We did initially question whether we would need a nanny but honestly best decision ever - because its not just about the feeding rights, there’s tummy time, bath, story time that I just would not be able to do if I was working at the same time. Even the feeding, it’s not really on the dot- it could be 15 mins earlier or half an hour later which makes it hard to plan meetings.

I work from home and am going back the week before the holidays. Our daughter starts day care in February so I am organizing family and friends to help with childcare in January. As much as I would love to be a full time mom and work full time, I know I can’t do both. She deserves to have my total attention and not see me focused/distracted by my phone and computer. Hopefully I’ll be able to wrap up my days by mid afternoon and I’ll able to fetch her from day care so she isn’t there all day (planning to talk to my manager about flexing my schedule so I can do this!).

Planning to have my in laws come by during the day to help on the days I work from home (2-3 days a week). I’m hoping to keep that up as long as I can before moving him to full time daycare.
