Light bleeding 6.5 weeks

When should I see my doctor about light bleeding? All last week I was spotting light brown, they said everything was probably fine but I still went in to check levels (still waiting on those results). Last night the brown spotting turned into light red bleeding. I would call it light bleeding, more than spotting but not like a period. No cramping, no clots. My husband is still optimistic after reading stories from women who bled similarly and continued with a healthy pregnancy, but I feel like this is the start of the end, I'm heartbroken, and just want it over with if that's the case. Has anyone experienced this? Did you continue with a healthy pregnancy or did you miscarry? Am I fine calling my doctor Monday morning or do I need to go to an ER?
