Maternity and newborn pictures??

Ok ladies ftm I’m curious what a fair price for maternity and newborn pics are?!? I got one quote so far and it seems a bit high but then again I’m new at this and I know I’ll have to pay for good pictures.  I’m just curious what a for price is?

I paid $500 for newborn pictures. It was about a 3 hour session and I got 12 pictures. I didn’t do maternity.

We paid $300 for maternity photos and $250 for newborn photos. We tend to pay 200-300 for photos. Depending on the kind of session is it. We always use the same photographer.

Newborns were $350 and maternity would have probably been around there but we didn’t do them. I love our newborn pics!

Really it depends on you and the photographers style you like, if it’s an at home session or studio. Being a newborn photographer myself (but in Europe) I’d say anywhere between 300 - 600 USD. But I do know prices can be higher in the States, depending on where you live. Go for the photographer you LOVE instead of price shopping, you’ll want to cherish these images forever.

The quote I got was $2100 for 20 digital images or and extra $500 for all digital images.  I’m willing to pay for good pics just seeing what most people pay.

I live in a small town, so I'm taking the newborn photos myself. I may have a friend take a few maternity pictures but I would be happy with just getting the naked maternity photo.

We booked a 30 min session with a local photographer and it was $150.

We paid 300 for about 2.5 hrs and got around 60 pics. Look for deals where you can do a package for maternity and newborn photos. We only paid 150 for our maternity photos because we booked a newborn session too. We got a shorter maternity session only about 30 min, but we got about the same amount of photos and they were gorgeous!

My photographer does a combo price for us - it’s $275 for maternity and then $300 for new born 
Or we paid $550 for both! So she discounts it a bit.
