Successful VBAC

Ba

She’s here! I went to the bathroom on November 2nd. While going I lost my mucas plug and boom my water breaks! It was small amounts that kept gushing out. Went to the hospital around 7pm. Got tested and confirmed it was my water breaking. I got checked and was dilated to 4cm. Labored all night long- around 4am they start me on Pitocin. It wasn’t as bad as I’ve heard everyone say it is. No burning or such. By 7am I was exhausted from being up all night. I caved and got a epidural- hoping to get some rest for the next couple of hours. My nurse checked and I was still stuck at 4cm. The doctor came in and discussed doing a possible C section since I wasn’t progressing. I told her let’s wait a couple more hours and if I don’t progress then I will choose an C section. She agrees and the nurse became very determined to help me get my VBAC! She had me constantly moving, using a peanut ball. She was AMAZING! Best nurse ever! My blood pressure kept dropping- 70/50 at one point. I kept throwing up. By 1pm i was dilated to 8cm. She left and told me if I feel like pushing to call her. Not even two mins went by and I felt the urge to push. I called her and she checked me again. Fully dilated and ready to push. I pushed for an hour and our baby girl was born at 2:33pm on Nov 3rd. She weighed 7 pounds and 8 ounces. She was almost three weeks early but no complications- except her Bilirubin was high. We stayed an extra night to monitor her. She was doing great! Now we are at home and finding our new normal as a family of four! #girlmom #successfulVBAC
