4 week old squirms, whines, and kicks while breastfeeding ?!?

Are there any other mamas dealing with this? This doesn’t happen often but every now and then

Mine does when working on a poo or toot! At this age, my pediatrician says a reflex causes their bowels to release when their tummies are full. I usually get some back arching, short bursts of crying, and wiggling at the end of feeds in particular. She said it starts to go away in the next few weeks.

Maybe gas?
My son is 6 weeks old and has been doing this for weeks now when he has gas (at either end). I bottle feed though

I think it sounds like gas. Mine does this too. I just burp her and she usually goes back to feeding right away.

My baby has been doing this the past few days! She doesn’t do it every feed, just a few times a day, but more so in the evening . She’ll pull of and start crying and kicking and shaking Her head but will latch again like she wants to eat, and then does it again . She does normally burp when this happens but will continue to do the same thing. Idk what’s causing it but I feel your pain. She’s also 4 weeks

I was dealing with this last night. It was awful because I couldn’t breast-feed her and she seemed like she was hungry but she wouldn’t latch on for more than 20 seconds at a time. She was just fighting it. And I’ve never had a problem with her latching on before, she’s four weeks.I changed her diaper and tried to burp her, couldn’t figure out what was wrong. I think that she just had gas because she did let out some toots that were really loud. I felt so bad because everything I was doing wasn’t working. I tried rubbing her tummy counterclockwise and doing the bicycle with her legs. She got so fussy I ended up crying with her and called my mom because I didn’t know what to do. I ended up giving her a bottle of my EBM and she took that without any problems and fell asleep shortly after. So I pumped since I wasn’t able to feed her. I woke her up for her nightly feeding and she did fine.￼ So my guess is it was just gas or an upset belly. I hope it doesn’t happen again though :(

My 3 week old does the same too! Not st every feeding but when she does it it’s super random. She’s bottle fed with breast milk.

My almost 6 week old does this, I was literally googling it this AM actually.  He looks so uncomfortable.  I’m thinking it’s either gas/poo or reflux but I don’t know which.  Gas drops, gripe water, and probiotics haven’t helped.  He also groans/grunts loudly and squirms in his sleep at night.  I wish he could talk and tell me what’s wrong, I feel so bad for him.

It could be silent reflux? I'm bottle feeding and found out my baby has that, he would stop in the middle of a feeding, kick his legs back and scream. Afterwards he would be so upset and make a gagging face and sick his tongue out.

At what time does this usually happen? Mine usually does the same during the witching hour.. around 6-8 and after that he goes back to normal
