My baby girl was born 10-1 she’ll be 7 weeks tmw. She’s beautiful and perfect!

Just wondering if there’s any mommas out there dealing with a cleft palate. She spent her first 9 days in NICU for respiratory issues but was not diagnosed with a cleft palate until she saw her pediatrician a couple days after she was discharged from the hospital.

There isn’t much that can be done for it until she’s about 8 months and they will do surgery.

Issues we have are feeding, reflux and sleeping on her back. Most times we’ve put her in her bassinet or anywhere flat on her back milk comes out of her nose after feedings(sometimes right after or up to an hour later :/). It terrifies me so she co-sleeps.

Just wondering if there’s anyone out there that has had any experiences with children and cleft palates. Any advice? Suggestions comments etc
