Filed a noise complaint

Look. I know I’m going to get hate for this, so at least read all the way through. Our upstairs neighbor has a kid. Okay. We have 13 nieces and nephews. We know what normal kid play sounds like. This kid. Oh my god. He runs and jumps and screams. All day. And somehow all night. This kid doesn’t sleep. I’m a college student, so I have a lot of homework. It’s so hard to get it done with that demon child making so much noise. And I wear ear plugs every time. We’ve also been woken up many times by this kid. One time I think he was actually throwing stuff at the floor. I also wear ear plugs to sleep. We’ve talked to her multiple times about it. The first time she was decently nice, but every other time she has been EXTREMELY rude. We went to talk to her about it again yesterday and as soon as she opened the door she started in on us. We’ve had enough. We’ve put up with this since we moved in six months ago and we’re done. This morning we got up early and went to the management office and filed a complaint. We’ve given up on talking with her. From now on, if it gets really bad, we’re filing complaints. Not for every little thing because he is still a kid that plays, but if we get woken up again or if we have to talk louder to be heard over him, we’re filing complaints. Originally we thought he was being left alone and was being rambunctious, but we recently learned that no, most of the time his mom is there. We’ve also learned that she knows he’s loud and doesn’t care, and he knows he’s loud and doesn’t care. If for some reason he is home alone and we knock, he just yells from wherever he is to go away because he knows it’s us. I feel slightly bad because I know that if we file enough complaints they can get evicted (it’s in their policy) but at the same time control your fucking child
