Baby B measuring 1 week 6 days behind willit survive?

Question

I went for my first ultrasound today at a free clinic and so of course they can’t say anything as to what they think. Baby A is measuring right on time at 8 weeks 2 days but Baby B is measuring 1 week and 6 days behind baby A. 
Both have strong heartbeats at around 175 which they said to focus on. But has anyone had this happen and it result in both babies living? Or should I expect to lose Baby B? 
I feel like that’s quite a difference in size.

Mine both ended with bad news, however yours both have great heart rates. Mine didn’t. Either time. Fingers crossed because I have heard stories where one twin was always a week or so behind!!

They look like mo/di twins. And that big of a difference is concerning to me.  Especially that early on. But I’m not a doctor.  My MFM said anything more then 3 days is concerning. Praying it goes well.

Ultrasound last week sadly showed baby B had been adsorbed already. I was really hoping everything would be okay this time but I am happy to have one healthy baby.

Try not to worry, I had a similar situation and there’s still  2-3 weeks between mine and I’m at 20 weeks now & having regular scans. If your worried please go see a your doctor/ midwife x x all the best x x

They look mo/di and that big of a size difference is concerning. Try and get into your OB as soon  as possible to be referred out to a mfm. Some ob’s don’t refer you out to a mfm soon enough so push for it. Vanishing twin syndrome is common but I thought that happened earlier in the pregnancy. I’m not sure though.

Thank you for your comments, I go for my next ultrasound the 27th so I hope baby will be okay. 
7 years ago my I lost my sons twin to Vanishing Twin Syndrome and am scared this will happen again with that big of a difference.
