My first yeast infection, help please!

So I went to my lady doctor yesterday and as I had assumed, I have a yeast infection. They gave me the pill for it, I took it around 6 last night. It's been around 24 hours now, my discharge has lightened up some and I have no more pain, mostly just some itching and the area around my vagina is still kind if puffy. I've been drinking apple cider vinegar because I hear it's good for re regulating your ph, also I bought yogurt with active cultures in if. Does this sound like it's heading in the right direction? This is my first time ever having a yeast infection so I'm very nervous about getting it healed up
